Welcome!

Taipei has an incredibly robust bus network that has enviable speed and coverage. Bus routes are planned with an eye on supplementing metro rail services and are made more efficient with the addition of bus lanes along congested corridors. The bus master plan calls for about 80 km of bus lanes in Taipei and there are currently around 60 km of exclusive bus lanes. Taipei has been improving the bus network over the years including launching a “main line” metro bus network in 2017 that helped brand and simplify core bus lines.

This page includes videos, pictures, and planning documents for the bus network in Taipei and other cities in Taiwan that may be useful for planners in cities around the world.
