Taipei Urbanism is a transportation consultancy that provides affordable marketing, communications, and engineering work. Our principal, Alex Garcia, previously worked in community affairs at Motivate International and Lyft Inc. where he helped launch North America’s largest bike sharing service into the San Francisco Bay Area. During his tenure working on bike share he helped innovate on targeted email and social media communications that helped the Bay Area’s bike share system overcome numerous political obstacles to converting car parking and dealing with fierce competition from incumbent players. In 2019, Garcia was elected to the board of Young Professionals in Transportation San Francisco where he organized events with Bay Area transportation leaders such as Alicia Trost (Chief Communications Officer, Bay Area Rapid Transit), Candace Sue (Director of Communications and Marketing, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency), and Paul Supawanich (Transportation Policy Advisor to the Mayor, City, and County of San Francisco). These events were organized to help inspire the next generation of transportation planners and more will be planned soon with a focus on the Taipei metro area.

Taipei Urbanism work primarily for sustainable transportation and bike related projects and companies since we recognize the urgency of climate change and the large responsibility the transportation sector has in this fight for survival.
